This circle bag features lots of bling and special details! There's no lining in this bag. It's left raw edge on the inside, which makes this project a very quick sew and great for beginners.

PATTERN DIFFICULTY: 3 Intermediate

FEATURES: Top zipper closure, handle, adjustable strap with chain hardware, and tassel

FINISHED SIZE: 8-1/2” wide, 8-1/2” high and 2-1/2” deep.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For the best results, use faux leather or cork fabric.

HARDWARE REQUIRED: All of the hardware required for this pattern is included in the Gwen Hardware Kit, or can be purchased individually.

Included with this purchase is the pattern cover and the pattern instructions. Each of our patterns are complete with step-by-step illustrations to help make the written directions easier to understand. Included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. Each pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!

Most patterns are measured and cut, which means that the pieces will need to be cut with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat. Some patterns may include templates for shaping and/or cutting out the pieces.

Trace or photocopy the pattern piece(s) onto a separate sheet of paper. If printing or copying template(s), print at 100% or actual size. Measure the test square provided in the pattern to ensure the pieces are the correct size. Tape corresponding pieces together before cutting fabric, aligning red lines, shapes, and outer edges. It’s also helpful to write the name and cutting instructions on each pattern piece. Cut out pattern pieces along solid black lines, unless otherwise stated.

Made a cute bag, I added structure.

Hi! I had an event, got my dress last minute, it was screaming for a matching circle bag. While I have experience bag making, and I can generally work out a simple pattern myself, I did not want to end up miscalculating anything and have to redo my bag when there was no time to do so. I was able to quickly knock out a bag, it wasn’t perfect due to user error (rushing it), but I went back and remade it right when I had time. In my remake, I knew I wanted the circle shape to really stand up, and I also wanted to minimize the…rumples(?) that are inherent in making vinyl bend at 90* while also going in a circle. To do this, I made inner vinyl lining panels interfaced with circles of plastic cross-stitch mesh. I cut the circles at the size of the vinyl circles minus seam allowance. I can’t remember offhand what the diameter was, but it’s easy enough to figure out if you measure the pattern.

Round and round

The instructions were very clear and that's a must for this newbie. I am doing my in cork and either a leather or a dark corduroy. Will send a picture if it turns out. So far so good
