    Thank you for the tutorial. What I am trying to figure out is how to work with the second zipper you cut. How do you finish the top if you want an open zipper? Thank you!

      Hi Gail! With zippers by the yard, each end of the zipper needs to be sewn into a seam. If you do need to open the zipper, you can just seam rip the stitches made by the previous zipper. You cannot make separating zippers with zippers by the yard, unless you install metal stops. Currently, I do not have kits or a tutorial on how to install stops. I hope this information helps!
