Connie is a practical backpack tote which makes for a great hands free bag! This pattern has been cleverly designed to avoid using any bias binding. The name and design of this backpack was inspired by the movie, Palm Springs Weekend.
Choose between two sizes, full or mini. The finished size of the mini is 9″ wide, 12″ high, and 3″ deep. The finished size of the full is 11″ wide, 15″ high, and 4″ deep.
These bags feature carry handles, an exterior slip pocket, covered front zipper pocket, adjustable straps, double slide zipper top closure, and optional mesh pockets.
Included are step-by-step graphics to help make the written directions easier to understand. Also included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. This pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!
Try using our Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard for this project! Easily cut and sew through the zipper’s nylon teeth, while achieving the appearance of metal teeth.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: You can use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining.
Pattern includes instructions for how to make the Connie bags in two sizes. Included in this purchase are (2) PDF files available for immediate download after checkout is complete: Connie Cover and Connie Instructions.
Please refer to pattern cover pictured above for the material and supply list!
