Audrey is a modern, zipper top tote bag. This pattern is fantastic for showing off your favorite prints, quilted fabric, or even embroidery. The name was inspired by the film and fashion icon, Audrey Hepburn, and the simple, stylish handbags she carried.
This pattern features an adjustable crossbody strap, a hidden exterior zipper pocket, an interior slip pocket & zipper closure. The finished size of this bag is 14″ wide, 11″ high, and 2″ deep.
Included are step-by-step graphics to help make the written directions easier to understand. Also included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. This pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!
Try using our Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard for this project! Easily cut and sew through the zipper’s nylon teeth, while achieving the appearance of metal teeth. Make four Audrey Bags from one package of Sallie Tomato Zippers by the Yard.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For the best results, use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining.
Pattern includes instructions for how to make the Audrey bag. Included in this purchase are (2) PDF files available for immediate download after checkout is complete: Audrey Cover and Audrey Instructions.
Please refer to pattern cover pictured above for the material and supply list!
All of the hardware required for this pattern is included in the Basic Hardware Kit 3/4 inch, or can be purchased individually. Each kit is available in five colors: nickel, light gold, antique, gunmetal, and rose gold. There are also optional purse feet and metal handles.
This pattern would not be possible without my wonderful group of pattern testers! I appreciate their hard work! Their samples are pictured above.
