New Enlarged Zippy Bag Pattern

I hope you're excited for this new pattern! Myrna is the enlarged version of the Zippy Crossbody Bag Pattern. So many Zippy Bag fans have been requesting a larger size, and now it's here! The finished size of this bag is 9" wide, 10" high, and 1-1/2" deep. Cork fabric, cotton, or canvas can be used.

What you'll learn in this pattern:

Included are step-by-step graphics to help make the written directions easier to understand. This pattern features an adjustable crossbody strap, two exterior zipper pockets, an exterior slip pocket, boxed bottom, and is fully lined. Also included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. This pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!

Easy Hardware Shopping with Basic Kits

All of the hardware required for this pattern is included in the Basic Hardware Kit 3/4 inch, or can be purchased individually. Each kit is available in five colors: nickel, light gold, antique, gunmetal, and rose gold. There is also an optional magnetic snap for the slip pocket.

Recommended Fabrics

You can use quilt weight cotton, canvas, denim, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining. Try using a fabric that doesn’t fray for the contrast such as cork, vinyl, kraft-tex, or leather. However, I’ve included instructions if you choose to use a cotton for the contrast. This bag has a more professional, long-lasting finish if the recommended fabrics are used.

Coordinate the zipper tape color with your fabric and match the nylon coil color with your purse hardware! Easily cut and sew through the nylon teeth, while achieving the professional appearance of metal teeth. Cut the length of zipper you need, when you need it, for minimal waste.
